Recount Writing

I am learning to use the correct language and structure for Recount Writing.

At Nana and Papa’s house.

On Friday afternoon me and my 3 brothers went to Nana and Papa’s. When we got to Nana and Papa’s it was lunch time. I had fish and chips. It was yummy.

After that I went to play rugby with dad and my two brothers. I was running for the try but I got tackled. I gave the ball to Josh. Josh went for the try but he got tackled.  

It was super fun and then me and dad and uncle and my two brothers played basketball. I went for the goal and I got the goal.  I was happy then dad was going for the goal.

He got the ball. Me and dad were coming a tie.

Then it was dinner time. I had kahawai fish.

It was delicious.

At the beach in Whangarei.

On Saturday afternoon I went for a swim in Whangarei with my family.  When we got there I saw the water. It was blue. I said, “Wow there are big waves.”

We got our new boogie boards. I ran to the blue water and went over the big wave. Mum took me out to sea to catch a wave. It was scary as and it was deep. It was amazing. I was going fast on the big waves. It was fun as on my boogie board. I liked the big waves going fast and then it went faster and faster.

When I got to the sand it was lunch time. Mum was at the back of my board. We had lunch. We had ham and egg sandwiches . After that we went to have ice cream. My ice cream was a chocolate sprinkle one. It was yummy.

We were having a race of who can eat the ice cream the fastest. My dad won.

It was a super cool day with my family.
