Recount Writing-At Taipa

WALT to use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.

At Taipa

On Sunday afternoon me, nana and my 2 uncles went fishing in Taipa. When we got there first me and my uncles had to get the rods. Next I put the bait on my hook. When I was ready to catch a fish I walked down the ramp. I put the line in the water. I was waiting for some bites. After that I caught a fish. It was a butterfish. I felt great.

Later on my uncles came down. They put their rods in the water. Then one of my uncles caught a fish. The fish was a butterfish too. Then I had to put my bait back on because my line ran out of bait. So nana put the bait back on. I put my line in the water. Then my 2 uncles got 2 fish on their lines. They got 2 more butterfish and Dantay got 2 Puriri.

After that we went to have lunch. Me and nana and David went to get the lunch from the fish and chip shop. We got fish and chips. When our food was ready we went back to where we were fishing to eat our kai. It was delicious.

Finally we went home. It was an amazing day.
