Here is my writing to explain why we celebrate guy Fawkes Day

Guy Fawkes Day

On November the 5th people celebrate Guy Fawkes. Every year they
go around a bonfire and launch  beautiful colors of fireworks. But
why does this happen?

Why do we celebrate Guy Fawkes day?

First the reason why we celebrate Guy Fawkes Day started 400 years
ago. There was a king called James. He was the king of England.

There were two churches in England. One church was called
Catholic. But king James did not like the Catholic people. So he
started to be mean to the Catholic people.

Guy Fawkes and his friends started to discuss how they can get back
at the king.

So they made a secret plan. The plan was to put gunpowder under the
parliament building right below where the king was going to sit.

On November the 5th Guy Fawkes was ready with the gunpowder to
blow up the king and his building.

But someone sent a letter to warn the king about the plan to blow up
the king and his building.

So King James sent his guards to find Guy Fawkes.

When they found Guy Fawkes they tortured him and killed him.

So in conclusion after the plot failed people burnt bonfires in
celebration to remember Guy Fawkes and the day the king was
saved.

What are people doing to solve this problem?

One thing people are doing is that they are using reusable containers rather
then plastic packaging.

Another thing people are doing is that when they go shopping they use cotton
bags rather than plastic bags.

Lastly what people are doing is that they reduce the plastic  by recycling plastic
to make clothes, shoes and furniture then there will be no plastic.

live in.

Recount Writing

17/10/18

On a hot sunny Saturday me and my family went to my nans
tangi because she passed away.

First me, my mum, my dad and 3 brothers went to the farm

near the marae. I went inside and kissed my nana and all the
other people kissed nan to. After that my papa’s frends done a
mihi. Everybody was looking at his friends but me and my
cousins were looking everywhere else. When it was finished
we had some dinner. We had some chips, sauce and bread
all added together. It was delicious.

Then we were going to sleep. My brothers had a sleepover at

the marae but we were bored so we played hide and seek in
the dark. I was the only who was not  found because they were
too scared to go by the park cause they always run into the
pole. So I went around looking for them and they were inside.
I got scared because they all gave me a fright so we all went to
bed. Everyone was asleep so we had to be quiet.

The next day we had breakfast. We had french toast. It was so
yum that I had four french toast. Then I played tag in the dining
room where we were eating but there was nothing so I played
with the babies. I was only running my slowest.

Next I had a shower then I was finished. It was so nice then I
got changed.

We went to the car to get the coffin. It was heavy.

We had to carry it to the marae. It was sad. Everyone was
crying.

It took a long time but I had water so I had a drink. Then we
were at the marae.

It was lunchtime. There was chicken, potatoes, veggies lollies
and heaps of seafood and a drink. It was so delicious.

After lunch me, my cousins, and my brothers played for a little

while. We were playing soccer and rugby.

The mud run

06.08.18

On a hot sunny Sunday me and all of my brothers did a mud run
at Ohaeawai. All of the Ohaeawai School kids were there.
There were under sevens up to under 12. I was in under 9.
This lady put my number on me. My number was 9 Then it was
the under nine’s turn i was excited to run then  girl said are you
ready I said yes then she said go and then all of us went as fast
as lightning. But some people were behind us. This boy was up
to me and my two friends. He was as fast as a horse. Then
there was hay that you could jump over. I jumped off the hay.
And I went as high as a bird. Then it was getting cold.
My mouth was going like brrrrr brrrrr. There was heaps of mud
and it was fun in the mud I tripped over because there were
heaps of rocks rocks under the mud it was hard as it was as
hard as turtles shell and then we got past the mud hole then
there was a big hill it was as big as a mountain I said I give up
but I tried my best my leg were dead but i saw the finished line
and i spirinted but my two friends over took me and they
finished and so that meant I came third I was proud of myself
 because I did it but i was covered in mud I was pitch black

At the beach

On a hot sunny Saturday me and my nana and my two
uncles went to the park in Mangonui.
We wanted to get out of the house because
there was nothing to do.

So we went to the park.
As soon as we got to the park
me and my two uncles went to the swings.
I said, “Should we see who will go the highest?”

I pushed off as fast as I could. I went higher and higher.
My hands were shaking, my heart was beating faster.
My knees felt like jelly. I felt scared.
I nearly went over the pole. It was like being on a trampoline.
I went so high that I won the game.

“Yay! I won! I shouted.
My uncles said, “Whoa you went high Armani.
You get 1 lolly  we promised you a lolly,Armani”
After that we went on to a spinny rolly thing.
I went on it. I asked my uncles to play on it with me.
They said, “Yes, OK.”  I said, “I’m going to win again.”
We got on it.
They were a bit faster than me so they were better than me.
But I was more balanced than them
so I nearly won but I didn't.
I was so close to winning though.
So I had to pay my uncle a lolly.
I really enjoyed my day. It was so fun. .

bucket filling

Walt use the correct Structure and language for Explanation writing Being a bucket filler.

Everyone in the world like me carries an invisible bucket. In the invisible bucket there are nice thoughts and feelings. A bucket filler is a person who says nice words and nice thoughts and if you say nice words and nice thoughts  there bucket will be filled of nice thoughts and they will be happy and not sad.

Bucket Filling can work by putting nice thoughts in other people’s buckets like kind thoughts. Another one is that you have to include others.   I will fill other people buckets by saying nice feelings and    kind words and if you fill other people’s bucket they will fill your bucket too .  And by saying nice words to each other.And welcome other people. And share with other people.

When you fill other people’s bucket you fill your own bucket too.
