My Goal Setting Term 4 2019

I will try my best to achieve my learning goals this term.

Recount writing.

WALT use the correct structure and language.

On a hot sunny Sunday my brothers, me, my aunty, Mum, Dad,
my uncle, Nan and Papa went to Pahia for dinner. First we
went to the playground to just have some fun. 

Me and my brothers ran to the swing. There were three of us
including me. I was on one swing and my brother Josh was on
the other so he had to push us both. He pushed me so hard 9
times I nearly went over the bar so I said stop! But he didn’t
stop pushing me so when he pushed me again I jumped off
the swing and landed on the bark. Then Josh stole the swing
and my other brother copied me and jumped off and he landed
on the grass. We were all laughing at him and then he said he
had a cramp.

I ran to the swing that he jumped off then my little brother
pushed me off and put his stomach on the swing.

He was spinning around and then he couldn’t touch the ground
so then he was spinning the other way and got dizzy. He
hopped off and he was running weird and then he fell over.
My mum said he must have been dizzy as. 

We were laughing. He was as well. He didn't even know what
was happening. After that we all had walked to the dinner.
Me and my big brother had a race. I was sprinting to the
dinner. My dad and uncle drove to the dinner that is Jimmy
Jacks. All of the rest that were behind us walked the
shortcut way. We arrived at Jimmy Jacks. When we
got there, my uncle and dad were inside drinking beer. 

At my Nana's house.

On  Sunday me, mum, dad, and my brother went to Ohaeowa
for dinner at my aunty’s house. My dad drove to Ohaewai from
Kaikohe and when we arrived at my aunty’s house it was raining
hard out.
First we all ran inside my aunty’s house. Once we all went
inside
we went to
say hi to everyone. Then my nana and papa ran up from their
house. They were painting their kitchen They even bought new
furniture at their
house. It was amazing. It looked cool.

Then we all said karakia. My mum, dad and brother, had dinner.

Me, my mum, dad, little brother and my cousin ate some
Mcdonalds and my nana, my papa, my uncle and aunty ate
burgers. It looked so yummy. I ate a quarter pounder and
chips and raspberry drink. My mum and dad bought a big mac,
chips and fanta. My little brother and cousin ate a happy meal
and my nana, papa and aunty and uncle had a pattie burger
with lettuce and tomatoes. It was delicious. After that me, my
mum, dad and Kaharau rested for a bit because we all were
going home. So I went around to say bye to everyone. I was
very very tired. My eyes were sleepy. My mum and dad and
Kaharau were finshed resting. They said bye to everyone too.
Lastly we all were tired and went home and went to sleep.

Recount Writing - At my Aunty's

Friday 26th July.

At my Aunty's

On a hot sunny Friday me and my nan went to my aunty’s
house to meet my cousin, uncle and aunty.

First when me and my nan arrived at my aunty’s house in
Whangarei, we walked in with excitment and opened the sliding
door. We said hello to everyone. I was so happy to say hello. I
had a huge smile on my face. When me and my nan finished
saying hello to everyone, me and my cousin went to play
rugby. My nan watched us play by the window. So me and my
cousin started the game. We both had a game of rock paper
sciccors to see who  kicked the ball first. We had a game and
I lost. I was alright because he was easy peasy lemon
Sqweasy. So I kicked the ball. Next he caught the ball. I ran
up to him and tackled him. I ran onside and he stood up and
he kicked the ball to me. I ran as fast as a cheetah. He tried
to tackle me but I stepped him out. He fell over and I was
laughing. Then I scored the try. We were both tired so we ran
inside and drank some coke zero. It was yummy. My tummy
was rumbling so I went to make me some scrambled eggs. I
cracked the 3 eggs and went to get the milk, salt, cheese and
pepper. Then I stirred it up and put it in the microwave for 2
minutes 30 seconds. When my food was ready I went to get
it out of the microwave and blew on it so it wouldn’t be hot. I
got the fork and had a bite. It was so yummy with cheese.  I
gobbled up the whole plate in under 1 minute. It was delicious. 

Then my cousin told me to come with him and we went  into
the room to play the ps4. For 30 minutes we both played
fortnite. I was playing creative with him to see who was a better
  player. We both had a build off battle. 

We were both laughing and laughing with exciment. I was
happy. I was jumping up and down, my eyes were wide open
and I was clapping my hands because he was very very good.

It was getting late. My nan cooked some butter chicken. I
could smell the butter chicken from the room. I ran with
happiness to the yummy butter chicken. After that everyone
got a bowl and put some rice and some butter chicken in their
own bowls. I had a bite. I said to my nan,  “Thank you this is
delicious dinner. I love it.”

Finally we had a nice kai and a nice sleep.

Ratu 25th Pipiri

At Nan’s birthday.

On a cold freezing Monday I went to my nana’s birthday in
Kaikohe with my Mum, Dad and little brother. 

First we went to the shop to buy her a present. For her present
we got her a bottle of wine and chocolate. Then we went to buy
some pizza for dinner.

When the pizza was ready I ran in and got all the pizzas. It
was
so heavy I was going to drop it! But I was too strong. 

I wouldnt drop it. 

I put the pizzas in the car and we drove to my uncle’s house
where the birthday was. I carried the pizzas again and got to
the door step and took my shoes off. I couldn’t knock on the
door because my hands were full with pizzas so I had to wait
for my Dad to open the door. 

Then he opened the door and when I walked in it was hot! I
was
already sweating. They had a hot fire right by the door. I put the
pizzas
down and me, my Dad, Mum and Kaharau went to hongi and
kiss
people on the cheeks. 

It was exciting. Then me and my little cousin were playing with
the nerf guns. I put 3 bullets in and my little cousin put 5 bullets
in. I was hiding behind the door. He ran into the room that I was
in. I ran and shot him three times and I giggled and ran because
I had no. Then I ran and found a good hiding spot. I was giving
a clue so I yelled, “Kaia!” and he ran and found me. He gave me
a fright. 

I yelled, “Woahhh you gave a fright.” I shot him and ran away.
He had one more life. He shot me 2 times. “Ohh he shot me. I
only have 1 life!” I shouted. 

He had one bullet and I had none. I ran down the hallway and
he shot at me. I turned and caught the bullet and laughed and
\said, “Ohhhhh you missed me.” I put the bullet in my gun and
shot him and I said, “Yaaay I won!” 

I was very thirsty and hot so I took my jacket off. 

Next all off us had dinner. So we said karakia then had a pizza
and drinks. It was delicious and yummy in my tummy.
After that we all rested our stomachs.

Homework

Learning homework is very important.

It helps you with spelling and reading.

I think we should do homework everyday .

Firstly I think we should do homework every day so we can

achieve our learning goals.

By doing homework everyday it helps us to improve in our
learning.

Secondly I think we should do homework every day because it
gives our brain a workout.

When your brain gets a good workout it will help you

get more faster and more accurate in Spelling.

Thirdly I think we should do homework every day so we can
get better in reading. We should read everyday so we can
read with expression and get better and better

I made a paper house and a paper fan. I used the fan to act like a tornado. I blew force at the house and it flew over. Then I put a paper clip in the house and tried the experiment again. This time the house stayed in place.

Brushing Teeth.

Teeth have a  very important job.
They help you eat food for your own body.

I think we should brush our teeth every day.

Firstly why I think we should brush our teeth every day
is so that our teeth are healthy and strong.
When you brush your teeth all the bacteria
comes out which makes your teeth healthy and strong.

Secondly why I think we should brush our teeth every day is
so our teeth are nice and clean.
When we brush our teeth all the bacteria and
little bits of food come out. That's why our teeth are nice and clean.

Thirdly why I think we should brush our teeth every day is
so all the bacteria won’t damage your teeth.
The bacteria starts eating our enamel then the bacteria causes holes.  
And that is why we get a toothache.

So that's why I think we should brush our teeth every day.

At Paihia

During the holidays I went to the Pahia beach with Nan,

my uncle and my cousin.

Before we left home we got changed
into our swimming clothes. Then we got some towels
and ran into the car.

I noticed that I was in the wrong then ran to the other car.

I was laughing. Once we left home I fell asleep.

When I woke up there were lollies in my mouth.

I said, “Who put lollies in my mouth?”

My uncle put them in my mouth.
Then I punched him because I didn't like those lollies
that he bought.

My punch gave him a bruise.

My nan was laughing and my uncle was crying.

Once we got to Pahia I was keen for a swim.

My nan said it was twelve o,clock. Then I went to have lunch.
We were all out of excitment so we went
to have fish and chips.
I bought a fish and a drink of fanta.

My uncle bought a fish and a drink of rasberry.

My nan bought a fish and a drink of coke.

My cousin bought a burger and a drink of apple juice.

When all of our orders were ready we ate our food.

It was delicious in my tummy.
When we were finished then we let our tummy rest.
After we finished resting our tummy. We went for a swim.
All of us were excited.

I saw some massive waves.
Me and my uncle were excited so
we ran into the water and dived under the waves.
We were so cold. It was like ice.

I felt like I was going to freeze too.

Training at School

On  a hot hot Saturday me, some Juniors and some Seniors
played rugby league with Matua Matt. First Matua Matt said to
me and Manuera, “Who ever wins rock paper scissors decides
who gets the ball.” l won and I said, “They had to kick the ball
to the people in my team.”

They kicked the ball. I thought it was going to go high but it
went small. It went to Tamaiti. He caught the ball. He ran
through heaps of people. Thenhe fell over. I went up to the ball
and passed it to Andy. Huhana ran through one person then
got tackled by Manuera. Tamaiti passed the ball to me. It was
fast. It was like speed. I ran through heaps of people. I felt hot
like fire. I ran up to the try line. Soni-boy tried to tackle me but
he missed and I scored the try. Everyone was happy. They
were smiling. Next Andy kicked the ball high. I chased it and
tried to catch the ball but Soni-boy caught the ball. I ran to
tackle him and then he stepped me and he ran. Then I got up
and tackled him around the legs. He fell over. I was amazed. I
thought I was just lucky then the bell rung then we ran back to class.
